Web Applications

Web application developemnt is my current focus area. I have a few startups that I’m working on that aren’t public yet so check back soon.

• Grubbly (2011-current) (PHP/MySQL/JavaScript/jquery/HTML5/CSS/iOS)
  • An application for discovering local food specials.
• Scenefo (2008-2011) (PHP/MySQL/JavaScript/jquery/HTML5/CSS)
  • Currently in development. A web application for sorting out local music scenes.
• Wikitheoria (2009-2010) (Google App Engine/JavaScript/jquery/AJAX/HTML/CSS)
  • My undergraduate research project that provides a place for social scientist to publish, revise and collaborate on theories.
• Status Board (2008) (AJAX/PHP/MySQL)
  • This was my first AJAX project that I developed for my job as a student at USC. This app tracks who is in the office and their availability. It is intended to be used on an intranet by office administrators.

Open Source Projects

Open Source Projects that I created or contribute to:

• GoogleApp Engine Datastore Backup Utility (2009-Current) (WPF/C#/Python/XML/GAE SDK/RegEx)
  • This application lets people easily backup, restore and manage their Google datastore through a GUI. The project is a GUI that stores applications and its entities in an XML document and generates a Windows batch file to execute a Python script from the GAE SDK.  The source can be checked out through SVN over at Google.

  • I host most of my opensource projects on Github. This is where you can find my most recent code samples.

Blogs

• Jsndev.net (2007-current) (WordPress)
  • Serving as a personal postmortem and portfolio for software engineering on the web.
• 8semesters (2009-2010) (WordPress)
  • Originally, the 8semesters concept was a web application. Now it persists as a blog. In preparation for the development of the web app, I started an advice blog for college students to be a marketing tool for the proposed eventual release of the web app.

Web Design/Static Web Sites

• University of South Carolina: Transition Guide Version 2 (2009) (JQuery, HTML, CSS)
  • A guide full of information for students transferring to the University of South Carolina. A complete redesign from version 1 (see below).
• South Carolina State Farmers Market (2009) (XHTML, CSS)
  • A prototype built for a local farmers market in South Carolina.

Flash

Most of my focus throughout high school was on Flash. I no longer work on Flash projects because I am much more interested in other areas (see above).

• University of South Carolina New Students Transfer Guide Version 1 (2008)
  • Transfer guide for new students at USC that emulates an actual book.
• Maladroit (2005-2007)
  • When my progressive/ska/rock band, Maladroit, still played, I developed our websites in Flash. Here are all of the iterations from the final to the beginning site.
